Attestation

ATTESTATION:

  • The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MoFAIC), or MoFA attestation in the UAE is a compulsory procedure that is used to verify the authenticity of documents and certificates that are important and needed for various employment, visa, medical, study or other purposes.
  • It is responsible for all UAE attestation services in the country, for any important document issued inside or outside the UAE.

Certificates to get attested:

In the UAE, attestation of certificates can be issued inside and outside the country. The different certificates it covers include.

1- Individual certificates include-

  • Birth certificate
  • Death certificates
  • Employment contract
  • Marriage certificate
  • Educational certificates
  • Experience certificate
  • Power of attorney
  • Medical certificate

Conditions needed to apply for attestation-

  • First, you need to get your documents attested by the UAE Embassy or Consulate in your home country.
  • Corporate, personal, and educationaldocuments can be attested but has to be original as photocopied and laminated documents are not accepted.
  • Information must be accurate.

The head office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation is located on King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud Street in Al Bateen, Abu Dhabi. It may take up to two working days for your documents to be attested. Keep in mind that the embassy attestation is a prerequisite for MoFA to attest, stamp and authenticate your documents.
